Shortly before 5 PM Wednesday stations 1, 2 and 3 were alerted for a reported working boat fire. Chief 1 (Schlotterbeck) arrived to find citizens working to extinguish the fire using portable fire extinguishers. Engine 25's crew stretched leader and standpipe lines to reach the boat at the end of the pier. Station 1 and 2 units remained on scene for just under an hour. The occupant of the boat was transported by Medic 10 for minor burns. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Queen Anne's County Office of the Fire Marshal.
