Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department’s EMS Crews have been busy this weekend caring for members of the community. The weekend began with an ALS ground transport to Shock Trauma for a possible cervical fracture. Saturday the crews responded to several medical calls including one at a local church. The volunteers from Kent and Queen Anne’s Paramedic 8 spent a few hours transferred into our house and assisted with a medical walk-in. Sunday evening, the crews responded to a local restaurant for an individual who had fallen and suffered a loss of consciousness. Paramedic 100’s crew assisted Paramedic 1 with patient care while Engine 12 handled the landing zone for Trooper 6.
