EMS Crews Have Busy Weekend.
   KQARS at Station 1.
Sunday, January 31, 2010
-
Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department’s EMS Crews have been busy this weekend caring for members of the community. The weekend began with an ALS ground transport to Shock Trauma for a possible cervical fracture. Saturday the crews responded to several medical calls including one at a local church. The volunteers from Kent and Queen Anne’s Paramedic 8 spent a few hours transferred into our house and assisted with a medical walk-in. Sunday evening, the crews responded to a local restaurant for an individual who had fallen and suffered a loss of consciousness. Paramedic 100’s crew assisted Paramedic 1 with patient care while Engine 12 handled the landing zone for Trooper 6.

If you would like to learn to help your community by becoming an EMT or Paramedic, please contact EMS Captain Steve Andrews @ EMSCaptain@kivfd.org or call 410-643-5454
