Over the past two weekends, several of our members attended a Small Boat and Watercraft Emergency course taught by UMD Fire & Rescue Institute. This course was hosted at our Station here on Kent Island. During this course our members trained on mitigating emergencies in open water as well as shorelines and marina’s. This included fire suppression capabilities and rescue/recovery operations.
