Just after 1pm Friday afternoon, Engine 12 and Tower 1 were alerted to Grasonville for a house fire in the Prospect Bay Community. The 1st arriving engine arrived to find smoke showing from the Alpha side. Further investigation determined there was a working basement fire with extension to the first floor. Crews from Kent Island operated for 2.5 hours before returning to service.
